Injury Treatment and Post-Treatment Management:

OSHA defines all injuries as the acute result of trauma, which is usually the result of accidents. In the event that a work related incident or illness does occur and an injury either occurs or is suspected, Prime Medical will respond immediately.

All employees should be required to immediately report all work-related incidents to their supervisor upon discovery. The supervisor is required to immediately inform the company's safety coordinator. If a physician's service is needed, Prime Medical will respond immediately. Even during non-clinic hours, Prime Medical's physicians and occupational specialists will open the office and provide any urgent medical care needed. Special after-hour fees apply.

Prime Medical's physicians are trained to identify potential abusers of the medical system and take appropriate preventive easures to protect your company. We also place a strong emphasis on providing immediate care and an expeditious return to work. This will help to prevent unintentional prolongation of injury and the associated high cost. Our technicians will ensure that post-injury alcohol and drug screens are done correctly and consistent with your policies.

In the event an iniury is so severe that emergency room service is needed, our physicians will be available to consult with the emergency room physician. Our technicians are available to go to the emergency room to obtain the urine drug screen specimen if required.

If specialty care is needed, we will refer the employee to our/your selected panel of specialists. They will provide the same expeditious and efficient care. Upon completion of care from the specialist, our physician will once again evaluate the employee and design an appropriate return to work schedule.
